02DEC08:
Party: FUNKY JUNKIE
Venue: Winston Kingdom
Straight up awesome tunage with a great Tuesday night crowd in the freshly refurbished Winston Kingdom. It started late, but no one seemed to mind too much! I love the live music/DJ thing and the FUNKY JUNKIE crew does a great job! (1st Tuesday of each month)
05DEC08:
Party: HOTMIX
Venue: Sugar Factory
A brand-new party from the folks that brought us fatblackpussycat last year. A selection of my shots from that party were on the video screens all night long. (Which was pretty cool!) The music was generally good and the crowd was great! There was a big group of kids from Chicago there that night too! (Homies!)

The hottest party from Amsterdam, in Utrecht at TIVOLI!

Venue: TIVOLI Utrecht
It was my second party in Utrecht in less than a month and the place is starting to grow on me… It was a Wicked Jazz Sounds “Away Game” and your raconteur was there to provide a bit of coverage! As you can see above, it was a Wicked Jazz Sounds Band gig and they were TERRIFIC! (Yes, I’m biased, but I’m still right!) Phil and Leroy manned the decks after and kept the full house (!) RAWKIN! I met so many nice folks and shot them… (with the camera, of course!) Thanks for the great time, y’all!!!

SubTone: B-Day Edition!
Urvinson and Carlito (Brothers In Harmony) with Mike Barron, first Sunday night of each month at Canvas in the the Volkskrant bldg. on wiebautstraat. (Next edition: 04JAN09)
It was only the second edition of SubTone and it was great! Urvin and Carlito celebrated their birthday with us (with yummy cakes from the kitchen at Canvas!) and everybody had a BLAST! Canvas is rapidly climbing up my list of favourite Amsterdam venues…
Oh, and anytime I can take a cute pic of Gwennie Chan is good for me!

Your raconteur was just about lowcrawling when he got to Sugar Factory last Sunday night. It was after 0100 and I was rather loaded, but I managed to scrape up a few quality shots… Two episodes of WJS in a weekend makes for a great weekend!!!
